A message to our readers

As many expected, Gov. JB Pritzker has announced a stay-at-home order and the closing of nonessential businesses beginning 5 p.m. Saturday, March 21.

We will post a story with more details from Capitol News Illinois on our website once it is available.

The press is listed among businesses deemed essential, and we want to assure you that we will continue to publish The Hinsdalean each week. We take seriously our responsibility to keep you informed of all the local news. We also recognize how important it is for us all to feel a sense of community at this time. We will continue to do our best to help provide that here in Hinsdale.

Our office will be closed to the public, but you may contact us via email at [email protected], through our website at https://www.thehinsdalean.com or by phone at (630) 323-4422. Also feel free to drop items in the mailbox outside our door at 7 W. First St. (while you are out on essential business, of course).

“One town, one paper,” is the motto we selected we launched The Hinsdalean in September 2006.

We are proud to be your community newspaper as we stand together during these unprecedented time
