“Christopher is joining Trustmark at a crucial time for our industry,” President and CEO Kevin Slawin said. “Customer expectations are higher than ever; they’re seeking simplicity and a personalized approach that balances technology with human interaction. LILLIE GRADUATES FROM FBI ACADEMY

The Hinsdale Police Department has announced that Deputy Chief Thomas Lillie graduated from the FBI’s National Academy Dec. 20.

The academy, held at the FBI Training Academy in Quantico, Va., offers 11 weeks of advanced communication, leadership and fitness training. Participants must have proven records as professionals within their agencies to attend. On average, these officers have 21 years of law enforcement experience and usually return to their agencies to serve in executive-level positions.

Lillie was one of 258 graduates in a class including men and women representing law enforcement agencies from 37 countries, four military organizations and six federal civilian organizations.

“The FBI National Academy is one of the premier executive management schools in the country,” Hinsdale Police Chief Brian King said. “It is academically and physically demanding. The Village of Hinsdale was fortunate to obtain a spot in the academy and we are proud of Deputy Chief Lillie’s accomplishments.”

The FBI appreciates the relationships it has developed with local law enforcement agencies, said Jeffrey Sallet, associate executive assistant director.

“The National Academy demonstrates in a concrete way our commitment to developing future leaders in law enforcement and our commitment to local law enforcement,” he said.

A total of 52,540 graduates have completed the FBI National Academy since it began in 1953.

D181, D86 Reports WIN AWARDS

The Association of School Business Officials International has awarded Community Consolidated Elementary District 181 and Hinsdale High School District 86 each a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting.

The award recognizes districts that have met the program’s high standards for financial reporting and transparency. Districts 181 and 86 earned the Certificate of Excellence for their comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ending in 2019.

“The COE’s mission is to promote and recognize excellence in financial reporting, specifically through a district’s CAFR,” ASBO International Executive Director David Lewis said. “The CAFR informs stakeholders about the financial and economic state of the district, making it an important communications tool for building trust and engaging with the school community.”

By participating in the COE program, school districts demonstrate their commitment to financial transparency. Applicants submit their CAFR for review by a team of financial professionals, who provide feedback to improve future documents. If the CAFR meets the requirements of the program, the document might receive the certificate. A district’s participation in the program can facilitate bond rating and continuing bond disclosure processes.
