Students at The Lane School Spelling Bee took the stage Thursday afternoon to see who would proceed to the district championship. Jude Rastorfer, J.J. Rastorfer, Max Sun and Rossi Urbanek were among the participants. First place went to James Bednarz, and Advaith Balakrishnan came in second. They will both compete in the district bee Feb. 4.
