Headed to state

Members of the Hinsdale Central girls swimming and diving team will compete at the IHSA state finals Friday and Saturday, Nov. 22-23, at New Trier High School in Winnetka.

Representing the Red Devils in individual events will be senior Anna Gruvberger in the 100-yard butterfly; junior Melanie Quinones in the 100-yard freestyle; junior Roslyn Tischke in diving; sophomore Kayla Teuscher in diving; freshman Carrie Kramer in the 200-yard IM and 100-yard breaststroke; freshman Phoebe Paarlberg in the 50-yard freestyle; freshman Kendall Pickering in the 200-yard IM and the 100-yard backstroke; and freshman Kit Schneider in the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke.

Swimming in the relay events will be Schneider, Pickering, sophomore Haley Dynis and Quinones in the 200-yard medley relay; Quinones, Paarlberg, sophomore Lauren Biegel and junior Lindsey Theoharous in the 200-yard freestyle relay; and Schneider, Quinones, Gruvberger and Pickering in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
