FINAL TENNIS FUN FEST A SUCCESS

The Tiernan Kelly 14th annual Tennis Fun Fest held at Hinsdale Racquet Club Aug. 10 raised more than $9,000 for the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation.

The foundation has 55 locations in 19 states and serves more than 13,000 children per month who are going through cancer, providing each with a small toy to distract them from their pain.

For 14 years the Kelly kids have been hosting the event, which was started by Croston when he was 8. He then passed the baton to Mattigan, who later handed it off to Kiernan.

This was the final year of the fundraiser, which has raised more than $80,000 for charity.
