Hinsdale police distributed the following reports Aug. 20.

Minor arrested for alcohol

Matthew L. Guglielmo, 19, 425 S. Bodin St., Hinsdale, was arrested for possession and consumption of alcohol by person under 21 at 1:19 a.m. Aug. 14 at Seventh Street and Garfield Avenue. He was charged and released to appear in court.

Motorist arrested for no license

Federico Ruiz, 43, 7317 39th St., 1D, Lyons, was arrested for driving without a valid license and operating an uninsured vehicle at 2:12 a.m. Aug. 19 at Madison Street and Ogden Avenue. He was released to appear in court.

Vehicle stolen from driveway

A 2015 Mazda CX5 was taken from a driveway in the 5500 block of South Oak Street between 2:12 and 7:08 a.m. Aug. 15. The vehicle was unlocked and the key fob was inside.

Burglary spree targets vehicles

Unlocked vehicles were entered and rummaged through between 6 p.m. Aug. 14 and 5:15 a.m. Aug. 15 while they were parked in driveways in the 800 block of South Clay Street and the 900 block of South Thurlow street. A baton was reported stolen.

Thefts reported

• A $19,900 engagement ring was taken from a home in the 900 block of South Garfield Avenue between July 13 and 21. The victim had workers at the home during the time frame the ring went missing. The incident was reported Aug. 17

• A check in the amount of $432.95 sent to a resident of the 300 block of Claymoor Road was stolen and cashed on July 17. The incident was reported Aug. 16.

Mail stolen from business

Mail was taken from a bin attached to a suite door between 1:40 and 2:20 p.m. Aug. 14 at the DuPage Oak Brook Call Center, 120 E. Ogden Ave. A suspect seen in the hallway was described as a male black, bald, wearing shorts and a shirt.
