DAY CAMPS

Spring Hill Day Camp

Students who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade will enjoy a climbing wall, archery, crafts, a water wall, team competitions and small group Bible teaching as Spring Hill brings it legendary day camp to The Chapel. Campers will be split into groups for ages 3-4 and 5-6 to enjoy sports, drama, music, crafts, nature and games centered around a weekly theme. Water days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children must be potty trained and bring a lunch or snack. Time: 9 a.m. to noon. Cost: $125 a week, $30 a day. RR

Children will enjoy an array of fun and creative learning experiences, including sports, drama, environmental awareness, games, music and crafts. The field trip, activities and projects will focus on a weekly theme. Campers will be split into groups for those going into first and second grade, third and fourth grade and fifth through eighth grade. Half day care is available from 9 a.m. to noon or noon to 3 p.m. at a lower cost, as is extended hours from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for an additional fee. Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost: $280 a week, $65 a day, with discounts for siblings. RR, MD

Students take a “trip around the world” creating various projects in every imaginable medium inspired by Paris (the week of Aug. 5) and Tokyo (the week of Aug. 12). Join one day at a time or register for all three days per session. Time: 9 a.m. to noon. Cost: $200 a week, $45 a day. RR, MD

Learn basic survival skills and how to prepare for a zombie “disaster” in this camp for adventurous kids ages 8 to 12. Skills will be tested on the final day with a water gun war of humans vs. zombies. Dress for muddy conditions and bring a water bottle. Time: 9 to 11:30 a.m. Cost: $130. RR

STEM Challenge + Minecraft Engineering with LEGO

Gear up for a full-day LEGO camp packed with hands-on and minds-on STEM fun. Build projects inspired by cool machines close to home, such as gear cars and merry-go-rounds. Then build motorized minecarts, ghosts and creepers from the Minecraft world. Kids ages 5 and 6 will meet together, as will those ages 7 to 12. Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost: $350.

Harry Potter Potions

Come to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry to learn how to cast spells and make potions. This Whole Child Learning camp is for kids ages 5 to 12. Time: 1 to 4 p.m. Cost: $325. RR, MD

Musical Theatre Camp

Stage Door Fine Arts will work with campers in first through fifth grade for one week to develop a show, complete with song, dance, solo work and ensemble performance. The week will focus on famous shows, actors and composers. The final performance will include numbers from Broadway’s favorites. Time: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost: $230. RR, MD

Percy Jackson & Camp Half Blood

Kids ages 5 to 12 are invited to camp half blood to hone their fighting/survival skills on a Heroes of Olympus quest. Enjoy a game of capture the flag, making blue slime and so much more. Time: 1 to 4 p.m. Cost: $325. RR, MD

This camp for ages 5-13 offers a fresh, enthusiastic approach to teaching youth soccer using a curriculum that presents the most current and advanced information in a positive, enjoyable environment. Time: 9 a.m. to noon. Cost: $125. RR

Skyhawks Elite Basketball Camp

This camp for ages 8-14 is developed to challenge boys and girls with intermediate/advanced skills and prepare them for league play. Scrimmages are competitive and the focus includes defensive and offensive theories as well as balance, movement and hand-eye coordination, all at a faster pace. Time: 9 a.m. to noon. Cost: $109.
