The HCS Family Services food pantry in Hinsdale is a busy place, welcoming dozens of guests four days a week and staff and volunteers restocking the shelves - mostly with rescued retail products - during down times. "Everybody recognizes that (hunger) is a problem, but they may not know what to do about it. That's why we feel like we're playing an important role in the community," said Stan Cook, the agency's executive director. "It's a great way for Hinsdale to be able to help its neighboring communities."
