Suzanne M. Denvir
   Suzanne M. Denvir, 32, of Hinsdale, passed away on July 4, 2010.
   A 1995 graduate of Hinsdale Central High School, Ms. Denvir was a dedicated, dynamic and respected educator, who passionately taught history at DuSable High School.
   She received a master’s degree in history from Colorado State University and a master’s degree in teaching from The Chicago Academy.
   Her goal for each student was to hear them say, “I’m going to college.” The Denvir family has established an ongoing scholarship fund for graduates of Daniel Hale Williams Prep at the DuSable Leadership Academy.
   She is survived by her parents, Bob and Ann; sister and best friend Lizzie; brothers Bobby, Mike and Quinn; sister-in-law Nikki; and niece and nephew Kathleen and Luke. Suzy lived with her long time soul mate Jack and their well loved sheep dogs Payton and Harry.

Kate Kirkland
 
Kate Kirkland, a resident of Hinsdale, died July 16, 2010, at her home.
   Mrs. Kirkland, 60, was born Nov. 9, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio.
   A graduate of Ohio University, Kirkland spent 12 years as a professional actress in New York. She later worked as an account representative for more than 15 years for multiple publications including Time Inc., Business Week and Fast Company. Kate lent her talent locally singing in the choir at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church for the past seven years.
   She is survived by her husband, James; son, Michael (Lori); and parents, Raymond and Kathleen Krizner.
   A memorial mass was held Wednesday, July 21 at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church.
   Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1801 S. Meyers Road, Suite 100, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 or to St. Isaac Jogues Church, 306 W. Fourth St., Hinsdale, IL 60521.
   Funeral arrangements were handled by Gibbons Elliston Funeral Home.
