Sports, people shaped teen's life story
From the time he could walk, Michael Brindley seemed to propel himself into engaging others, whether next-door neighbors or perfect strangers.
His father, Bob, remembers a time he brought Michael, then a toddler, along on a supermarket run.
“We were standing in the checkout line, and there was an elderly lady standing next to us,” Bob Brindley recounted. “ ‘He looked at her and said, ‘Hi, I’m Michael!’ You could just see her whole face kind of brighten. Then they went on to have a fairly lengthy conversation.” ... read more
