The gift of warmth and good cheer
— The Hinsdale Central cheerleading squads raised money to purchase material to make blankets for pediatric patients at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. After school last Thursday, the girls gathered in the Central field house to cut and tie the material into blankets for the patients. The cheerleaders made 141 blankets that will be distributed throughout the year at the hospital. (Jim Slonoff photo)

  At least one set of math materials being piloted in Community Consolidated Elementary District 181 has been abandoned, and parents asked the board Monday to discontinue a second pilot.
    Agile Minds will no longer be taught in math classes at Hinsdale Middle School, parents learned in an email from Superintendent Don White Oct. 23.
