Taking one for the team
— It was Spirit Week last week at Hinsdale Middle School. The events finished up Friday afternoon with a students versus staff basketball game. Students also raised almost $2,500 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Students paid $1 to vote for a staff member, with the “winners” earning a pie in the face at the assembly.    Three years ago, Hinsdale’s Jennifer Weil and her husband, Chris, were waiting.
   Waiting to hear the outcome of their 2-week-old daughter’s open heart surgery.
   Waiting for nearly three weeks until they could bring Alexandra home.
   Waiting because they knew she would go through it all again in four months.
   “I don’t think we had any idea of how hard it would be to watch a baby go through that,” Jennifer said.
