Three years ago, Hinsdale’s Jennifer Weil and her husband, Chris, were waiting.
Waiting to hear the outcome of their 2-week-old daughter’s open heart surgery.
Waiting for nearly three weeks until they could bring Alexandra home.
Waiting because they knew she would go through it all again in four months.
“I don’t think we had any idea of how hard it would be to watch a baby go through that,” Jennifer said.
